Two of our projects are featured in the edition on the topic of “Humans – Space”

The new edition of the bdia Handbook Interior Architecture 2024/2025 explores how spaces impact people. The projects featured in the annual publication are selected by an independent jury each fall and then published the following year. As in last year’s edition, two of our interior solutions are included: among the 25 selected projects are the Wahrendorff Hospital and the student residence in Reutlingen, both showcasing interior design concepts that are special to us.
With the focus on “Humans – Space”, the current edition of the bdia Handbook sheds light on the effect of interior design on our well-being. “With this Handbook we want to show how integrally important good interior architecture is for the people who live in and with it,” writes jury chair Pia A. Döll in her foreword. Our project for the Wahrendorff Hospital in Sehnde, among others, exemplifies this. The specialist hospital for mental health is designed as a “temporary home” to gently prepare patients for their return to everyday life. Our comprehensive concept for the inpatient areas creates an environment that promotes healing, enables retreat and conveys a sense of security. Additionally, the handbook also features our interior design for a student residence in Reutlingen, emphasising the spatial effects of the living environment. The student apartments and communal areas are designed following a shared flat concept to promote social interaction and communication.
The bdia Handbook Interior Architecture is now available in stores or can be ordered under ISBN: 978-3-7667-2686-5.
