On legendary New Bond Street, brandherm + krumrey designed Birkenstock’s showroom in London. The largest German shoe manufacturer presents itself here in a feel-good ambience that congenially expresses the brand’s philosophy. Natural materials and a clear spatial structure make the interior design a holistic experience. To make the brand philosophy tangible, the showroom was divided into different areas: In the center is the so-called “workstation” – a room-within-a-room divided by solid oak planks that provides space for customer discussions or informal meetings. Illuminated shelves, which contrast effectively with the anthracite-colored walls, set off the shoe fashion and at the same time emphasize the linear structure of the room. Selected furniture design and few decorative elements characterize the high-quality yet relaxed atmosphere.
