Clinic Wahrendorff project by b-k-i recognised
What effect do spaces have on people — in particular those where healing, tranquillity and stability are paramount? This is precisely the question addressed by the Healing Architecture award, presented for the first time by Callwey Verlag. The award recognises projects that demonstrate how architecture and interior architecture actively contribute to well-being.
Among the award-winning projects is the Wahrendorff Clinic project by b-k-i. For the in-patient areas of this renowned specialist hospital, b-k-i developed an interior architecture that noticeably improves the everyday lives of patients: clear room structures, soothing colour schemes, natural materials and zones that allow for both retreat and interaction. The design supports therapeutic processes in a quiet, sensitive and highly functional manner.
The fact that this project was recognised in the Healing Architecture Award 2025 is a special acknowledgement of the attitude that has characterised b-k-i for many years: interior architecture can mould culture. It can create atmospheres that provide stability, enable orientation and build trust, especially in sensitive contexts such as healthcare.
We are delighted about this award and to see the contribution of interior architecture towards healing becoming increasingly established in public discourse.
