As in the past year, we feel particularly honoured to have received an accolade at the Best of Year Award: the international trade magazine Interior Design has selected the start-up campus we designed in Paderborn as one of the best projects for 2024. The prestigious award recognises the most significant international works of the year as well as designers, architects and manufacturers from all over the world. Our project was awarded the Honoree label as an outstanding achievement in the Large Higher Education category.

The Start-up Campus ‘garage 33’ is a centre for technology transfer and business start-ups at Paderborn University with various work and meeting areas. The guiding principle of our interior design was the prototype development of start-ups in their idea generation process. The mentality of trial and error and unconventional ideas is reflected in the interior design. The lively and communicative ambience, which supports founders in developing their visions, convinced the Best of Year Award jury. The results of the award were announced by the editor-in-chief of Interior Design magazine, Cindy Allen, at a ceremony in Manhattan on 12 December.
