German General Hospital Abu Dhabi

Familiar ambience

Medical know-how from Germany packaged in regional architecture is the idea behind the concept for the German General Hospital in Abu Dhabi. The hospital building planned for the capital Khalifa City is based on regional characteristics in its design. With numerous openings in the facade, the new building is adapted to the special climatic conditions of the location. At the same time, he quotes traditional Arabic architecture and creates a familiar atmosphere. Garden courtyards protected from the outside heat are used for relaxation and recreation of patients, visitors and employees. Together with the entrance hall in the style of a noble hotel tree, these courtyards form the centers of a square grid. Around this structure in the form of a checkerboard pattern frame all the other rooms, whose furnishings reflect the high VIP service and medical expertise of the house.
