Apartment Sylt
Charming modernization
When remodeling the Frisian house on Sylt, the owners wanted to make the most of every nook and cranny. With a great deal of tact, brandherm + krumrey succeeded in fulfilling this wish while preserving the charm of the historic building.
After gutting down to the load-bearing walls, the room layout of the house was preserved. The existing old tiles were incorporated into the redesign of the surfaces. In order to create the airiest possible impression of space, the interior design is discreetly restrained. White, light gray and natural wood colors dominate the ambience, whose elegance is emphasized with selected designer furniture. Custom shelving and cabinets ensure efficient use of space.
