Birkenstock Showroom Tokyo

Natural material world
brandherm + krumrey developed an identity-creating spatial concept for the showroom of Germany’s largest shoe manufacturer in Tokyo. The interior design brings Birkenstock’s feel-good philosophy to life and serves as a prototype for other international locations.
The showroom with meeting area and adjoining offices combines feel-good quality with urban serenity. Typical materials for the shoe fashion presented here, such as leather, felt and cork, characterize the interior and create a warm counterpoint to the steel and glass facade of the architecture. Solid oak planks create an open space-within-a-space for client meetings or informal gatherings. A “Branding Wall” and “Presentation Tower” offer flexible presentation options. In addition to the open ceiling structure, lights and metal furniture in industrial chic style also contribute to the special ambience.
