Susanne Brandherm talks about interior design as a mission
“Wir waren zum Glück leichtsinnig” (“Fortunately, we were reckless”) – this is the title of the lecture that Susanne Brandherm will give at Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences on 5 June. Under the title she reflects her own career start when she and Sabine Krumrey took the bold step of starting their own interior architecture firm. To give students in the Department of Building and Design an idea of the passion for the profession, the lecture will showcase exemplary projects by brandherm + krumrey and their design approach.
Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences uses the slogan “Innenarchitektur gestaltet!” (“Interior architecture shapes!”) to promote the corresponding degree programme. The programme highlights that every spatial design follows an idea and takes shape through an individual concept. In her lecture, Susanne Brandherm will explain how these design processes can become a mission. She will demonstrate how projects for new work environments, gastronomic spaces of experiences or communal living are created from a commitment to quality and sustainability, along with a particular attention to detail.
