Together with other architects, we look back on creative processes with AIT Dialog and the trade journal AIT. On December 9, 2021, an exhibition titled MEMORIES will open at Hamburg’s AIT-ArchitekturSalon. It shows original hand sketches with which creatives remember inspiring moments as a starting point for new ideas, realized or never realized designs. With our own sketch, we present a drawn inspiration from our project work.

The exhibition assumes that creative people draw on a fund of images, experiences and feelings in their work. These are collected over years and preserved in memory. Such formative moments are expressed in the hand sketches. After a sketchbook for the drawings toured 70 architectural offices in Hamburg and Munich, the results will now be shown in the two cities in parallel for three months. An accompanying program is also planned for 2022, inviting participants and attendees to salon discussions. A book on the two exhibitions will follow in the course of the coming year.
