The current bdia Handbook Interior Architecture featuring two of our projects will be showcased at the AIT-ArchitekturSalon Hamburg. On August 24, the bdia Landesverband Küste will host an event, during which Susanne Brandherm and Sabine Krumrey will present our projects. The gastronomy space of the revitalized locomotive shed in Marburg and the interior design for an apartment in Cologne’s Gerling Quartier were selected along with 23 other contributions for the bdia Handbook 2023/2024.

Both projects were a unique design experience for us due to the special contexts of revitalized historical buildings. In the case of the Marburg locomotive shed, the transformation of the historical railway building into a modern restaurant space inspired by the existing structure was an exciting challenge. Similarly, the interior design of the apartment in the 1950s Gerling Tower in Cologne is influenced by the existing design vocabulary, taking up the forms and materials of the early post-war modernism era. The bdia Handbook 2023/2024 will be on display at the Hamburg AIT-ArchitekturSalon from August 21 to August 26. It is available in stores or can be ordered using the ISBN 978-3-7667-2619-3.
