Susanne Brandherm discusses the future of building in Cologne
“Second Life – Material is the new gold”: Under this heading, a roundtable featuring a keynote speech by Susanne Brandherm will take place on November 14. The event, held at Bogen 2 in Cologne’s Agnesviertel district, will explore future architectural and interior design issues related to the topic of materials. Amandus Samsøe Sattler from Ensømble Studio Architektur Berlin and president of DGNB e.V. will also deliver an introductory lecture on the subject.
Following the talks, a panel discussion will be held with additional guests, focusing on the central question: “What if we no longer had building materials?” Moderated by AIT Editor-in-Chief Petra Stephan, the debate will revolve around how to rethink construction both inside and outside the building. Additional participants include Dr Stephan Anders, DGNB Director Network & Consulting; Jörn König from urban transformation architecture; Christian Krauss, Head of Office & Workplace Strategy at Art-Invest; and Matthias Niemeyer, Managing Director of Adina Germany Holding. The evening will conclude with a fireside chat and culinary delights. The event is organised by Artemide, ege Carpets and LEITWERK. Everyone interested is warmly invited to attend.
