The Rheinpalais in Cologne offers a friendly working environment within historic walls. The special nature of the project is already clear from the outside: brandherm + krumrey designed a modern working environment with a generous spatial experience in the stately architecture of the former management building from 1910. The new office areas were to be prestigious, but not over the top. The different room program was therefore implemented with clear forms and a high design standard. This is reflected above all in the choice of materials and colorful furniture. With a ceiling height of up to seven meters, the offices give a spacious and open impression. This presented a particular challenge for the planning of the room acoustics. To counteract disturbing noises, ceiling sails and room dividers designed as eye-catchers were incorporated into the interior design. As a harmonious unit, interior design and historic architecture thus create a special ambience with a view of the Rhine.
