The staging and experience of water is the focus of reACT – a design with which brandherm + krumrey emerged as the winner in the Axor Inspiration Project 2015. Architects, designers and interior architects submitted a total of 40 projects for the three-stage competition. The theme of the competition organized by the bathroom brand Axor and the online magazine Stylepark was the relationship between water and space. The jury was particularly impressed by the combination of different water scenarios in the design by brandherm + krumrey. The project is designed as a multi-sensory experience with a playful character. From ceiling-mounted tubes with different lengths, diameters and surfaces, water is to flow, fall and flow. Alternating baths at different temperatures from warm to cold are possible. Sensors are used to trigger the water surge as soon as a person is under the corresponding tube. In a surprising and creative way, the themes of health, relaxation, emotion and digitalization are combined in the bathroom.
