Attic conversion Cologne

Flowing living experience

Living experience on 80 square meters – during the conversion of an attic in Cologne, brandherm + krumrey transformed five individual rooms into a new spatial concept. Bedroom, bathroom, dressing room, hallway and storage space were structured and connected as open areas. The rhythmic alternation of open and closed spaces conveys a sense of openness while offering residents opportunities for retreat. Partitions made of interlocking slats mark the bathroom area as a privacy screen. The link between the flowing interlocking rooms is formed by a large-format plank floor, which visually stretches the entire area. High-quality materials characterize the custom interior, which cleverly integrates the roof truss.
