We are delighted to announce that yet another of our projects has been recognised at the Iconic Award Innovative Architecture. The Barista Bar and Lounge, which we designed for the German headquarters of Danfoss, has been honoured with the “Winner” distinction in this year’s competition. With its international architecture and design prize, the German Design Council distinguishes the interplay between various disciplines – a unique aspect of the award as it focuses on holistic design concepts.

The Barista Bar and Lounge for Danfoss has been recognised by the Iconic Award as an essential component of modern working environments. After all, studies show that coffee breaks enhance productivity and encourage interaction within companies. For informal meetings over a cup of coffee, having a conversation or working on laptops, we created two open-plan areas at the German Danfoss headquarters. As meeting spaces with a cosy atmosphere, they reflect the Scandinavian corporate culture of the Danish technology provider. This is where the recognition by the Iconic Award aligns with the competition’s focus on forward-thinking interior design. With their inviting ambiance, the Barista Bar and Lounge offer attractive gathering spots that, especially with the rise of remote work and flexible working conditions, are gaining importance to encourage employees’ presence in the office.

The winners of the Iconic Award will be honoured at a festive awards ceremony at the real estate trade fair EXPO Real in Munich on 7 October 2024.
