Susanne Brandherm on the selection committee
Berlin is full of architectural inspiration. Since 1999, the exhibition “da! Architecture in and from Berlin” by the Berlin Chamber of Architects has captured this diversity year after year. The exemplary projects from Berlin and Brandenburg range from architecture and interior design to landscape and urban planning – a wide spectrum that reflects the vitality and relevance of contemporary building culture.
For 2026, Susanne Brandherm has been appointed to the selection committee of this renowned exhibition format. As a jury member, she will work with other colleagues to review over 130 eligible projects submitted by architects from all four disciplines of the Berlin Chamber of Architects and select them for the exhibition. From pioneering workspaces to innovative public spaces, these projects show how design shapes our lives.
The selected works will be presented in a major exhibition in spring 2026 and published in the accompanying yearbook “ARCHITEKTUR BERLIN | BUILDING BERLIN”, issued by Braun Publishing and available in bookstores. As such, “da!” is an important showcase for Berlin’s architectural culture and enjoys wide recognition far beyond the city itself.
Susanne Brandherm emphasizes:
“Interior and exterior spaces are in direct dialogue. Interior architecture creates innovative, sustainable concepts that play a central role in planning and construction. As part of the da! selection process, I am excited to highlight this perspective.”
We congratulate Susanne on this appointment and are delighted that she will be able to contribute her expertise and attitude to one of Berlin’s most important architectural formats.
