The Association of German Interior Designers (bdia) is the largest and most important interior design association in Germany. In its current bdia handbook, the association presents the diversity and quality of interior design with selected projects. Two objects by brandherm + krumrey will be presented as outstanding examples of interior design.
The topic of this year’s bdia handbook is the complex requirements for the design of working environments. On display are rooms that are oriented to people’s needs and in which people can work well and, above all, happily. The 24 selected projects include not only the Birkenstock showroom in Tokyo by brandherm + krumrey, but also the blood donation room on the university campus in Hamburg, which is described as a “surprisingly cool event location”. To honor outstanding achievements in the field of interior design, the bdia will also award the German Interior Design Prize 2019. The award ceremony will take place on the occasion of the German Architects’ Day on September 27 in Berlin.
With the projects published in the handbook, bdia organizes a traveling exhibition. First dates are:
until July 18, 2019 – AIT Salon Munich
until 31 August 2019 to the KAMUNA in Karlsruhe
until September 17, 2019 – AIT Salon Hamburg
