\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tFrom its headquarters in Munich, the MTU Aero Engines AG manages its global subsidiaries. For the more than 5,500 employees at the site, a new communication centre with company catering was built. In the new building brandherm + krumrey designed a GourmetWerk restaurant for business lunches and small group dining. The rooms are part of an overall gastronomic concept and offer an opportunity for retreat and an intimate atmosphere with a high quality of stay.\r\n\r\nThe GourmetWerk is MTU’s company catering facility for upscale dining in addition to the GenussWerk for communal catering. It is located on the first floor of the new two-story building, which was designed by the Darmstadt-based architectural firm L\u00e4mmler und Falkenstein and implemented by RKW Architektur +. The GourmetWerk on the eastern side of the building, resembling a casino restaurant, is characterised by a dark-panelled front wall with LED joints, conveying a discreet elegance. Room dividers designed with the same wood and a counter divide the space and indicate circulation zones between the few groups of tables. Acoustically effective materials ensure a calm lunch break with important business clients. Rotatable slats also allow the room to be divided into smaller sections. The clear spatial impression is loosened up by the linear luminaires on the ceiling, arranged freely above the tables. Additionally, two boardrooms are connected to the restaurant, offering more comfort and intimacy than the conventional event and conference rooms on the ground floor of the new company restaurant. The inviting GourmetWerk not only creates a pleasant ambience for dining in small groups, but also strengthens internal communication and corporate culture.\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
