What demands does the young generation make on working in the future? brandherm + krumrey in partnership with AIT-Dialog and students from the AMD Akademie Mode & Design as well as other partners from the contract industry will address this question in the context of the special exhibition WORK TO GO at the upcoming ORGATEC. As an international industry forum, the leading trade fair in Cologne will explore the opportunities and challenges of modern working environments from 23 to 27 October 2018.
The special exhibition WORK TO GO will take place for the first time as part of the ORGATEC trade fair. In the run-up to the even, 24 students from the Interior Concepts and Design course in Hamburg dealt with future-oriented visions for working environments. After in-depth analyses, they developed a stand concept that visualises prospects for location-independent and self-determined work on 400 square metres. Sabine Krumrey, who accompanies the term project as a lecturer at AMD Akademie Mode & Design, comments on the design approach as follows: “The stand concept shows that we are working with highly motivated and very talented young designers – the generation of the NEW WORK age demonstrates in a creative way how it understands WORK TO GO.” An extensive programme accompanies the special exhibition: Under the motto of “Home”, “Office”, and “Free Space”, an exhibition, workshops, keynote speeches, expert and impulse lectures will provide a diverse platform for discourse on all days of the trade fair.
