Starting in the winter semester 2019/2020, Susanne Brandherm will assume a teaching position for exhibition architecture at the Peter Behrens School of Arts in Düsseldorf. The PBSA trains around 1,600 students in the fields of architecture and design at the Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences. Artistic and creative projects as well as a holistic educational approach are of paramount importance in teaching.
As part of her teaching assignment, Susanne Brandherm will address spaces of communication. These include projects such as showrooms, trade fairs or exhibitions whose design conveys content in a special way. This not only illuminates a current design task but also takes up a main research area of the PBSA, as the department focuses on the present and history of exhibitions and their design, especially in a socio-cultural context.
