Future Lab for Art-Invest Real Estate
Creative interplay
Modern work requires flexible environments for inspiring exchange. This idea is the driving force behind the multifunctional communication space that brandherm + krumrey have designed for Art-Invest Real Estate in Hamburg. The space is intended to serve as a showroom for marketing purposes and at the same time as a creative laboratory for future-oriented projects. The spatial concept therefore combines a marketing suite with a future lab – modern aesthetics meet functional flexibility and the latest media technology.
The interior design is characterised by an exciting interplay that allows for a multi-layered spatial experience: cool and warm colours and materials, as well as soft and angular shapes, are carefully balanced in the design. Cool shades such as mint and metal furniture elements contrast deliberately with the natural look of wooden surfaces or the textural feel of the sisal-optic vinyl flooring. A semi-transparent curtain acts as a connecting element across the entire depth of the room. Its diffuse colour gradient brings together all the colour moods in an exciting way. At the same time, the spatial concept spans the spectrum from traditional to modern, from analogue to digital. With upholstered bar stools and armchairs, a bookcase and sideboard, freely arranged domestic furniture is combined with innovative media technology. An audiovisual installation which projects abstract visuals onto a curved wall in the rear third of the room, offers spatial sound and image experiences. Additional monitors set into the walls create further options for digital presentations. A sculptural light object, shaped in a sweeping line above the central high table, symbolises creative communication. The specific spatial function is thus combined with a sensory spatial experience. The concept serves as a prototype for implementation at other locations.
