Future-oriented theme world
On the occasion of the leading international trade fair Orgatec, brandherm + krumrey, in partnership with AIT-Dialog, students from the AMD Akademie Mode & Design as well as other partners, dedicated themselves to future working environments. Visions for tomorrow’s world of work were presented in the special area WORK TO GO. The multifaceted spatial installation provided an inspiring forum with lectures, workshops, and discussions.
The special show, which was held for the first time as part of Orgatec, presented the ideas of a young generation for the work of the future. As a lecturer at AMD Akademie Mode & Design, Sabine Krumrey worked with students to develop the stand concept, which created a stimulating theme area extending over 400 square metres. The main focus was on aspects of location-independent and self-determined work. Semi-transparent curtains defined the special area and aroused the curiosity of trade fair visitors. Derived from the working environments of “Home”, “Office”, and “Free Space”, the area was divided into three colour-coded sections. Each segment conveyed its own atmosphere and adjoined a centrally positioned “Mindroom” for mutual exchange. As a social activity, work was reconsidered and staged with surprising spatial installations. It was about a future where work no longer determines everyday life, but everyday life determines work — “Go to work” becomes WORK TO GO.
