Event Hotels operates more than 80 exclusive branded hotels at more than 50 locations in Europe. brandherm + krumrey were able to implement an inspiring office environment in the service centre on Cologne’s Sedanstrasse. A quiet feelgood atmosphere with surprising details characterises the 140 workplaces.

The premises of the service centre, which, among other things, is responsible for the reservation of hotels all over Europe, extend over two floors. In order to make working here as pleasant as possible, the service stations of the employees are complemented by a bistro, a lounge and other social areas. Since a lot of phone calls are made, room acoustics are an important issue. brandherm + krumrey turned these special requirements into a design virtue. Muted colours and sound-absorbing materials create a focussed working atmosphere. In contrast to the function-oriented office spaces, the lounges were given a restrained, homely ambience. Sculptural luminaires and brightly coloured acoustic elements on the walls add surprising highlights.
