Living by the river

For an apartment on the Rhine, brandherm + krumrey developed an interior design that underscores the special location by the riverside. In close cooperation with the client, a high-quality ambience with a subtle material and colour concept was created.

The basic structures and floor coverings of the apartment were to be retained in the new design. The home design created by brandherm + krumrey was therefore integrated into the existing spatial layout. White, anthracite and other muted colours dominate the clear and yet welcoming interior. The existing natural wooden floor blends in harmoniously. Choice furniture design, luminaires and works of art on the walls add homely highlights and emphasise the high-quality overall impression. As a recurring element, a dark stained wood panelling with attached slats lends the rooms depth and structure. Everything is in harmony with the calm and yet intriguing design concept, in the surroundings of which the extensive views of the Rhine River are even more impressive.
