Symbolic Landing Stage

For a hotel located close to the shore, brandherm + krumrey developed a design concept that focuses on the special location at the waterfront. The entrance and reception area opens outwards with large glass surfaces as a symbolic landing stage – and thus draws attention to the surrounding waterside landscape.

The hotel entrance serves as a frame for the view to the water. With inviting gestures and an open spatial structure, it offers guests orientation and a feel-good atmosphere. The different functional areas naturally merge into one another. The light colours of the interior design have a calm and modern effect. High-quality materials such as wood and natural stone are deliberately staged with strong contrasts. Sound-absorbing surfaces as well as an individual background sound contribute to the high interior quality. The holistic interplay of all design elements supports the positive perception of space.
