For a large-scale urban project in the central Chinese city of Changde, brandherm + krumrey are planning three new hotel buildings. The City of Hannover, which wants to further expand its cooperation with Changde, has serves as a model.
As a nationally significant project with international dimension, the new district was built by the architectural firm Rhinesheme on the banks of the Chuanzi River. Here, visitors can stroll between brick houses and, for example, stop off at a German restaurant. brandherm + krumrey are designing three new hotels with reminiscences of German culture. The investor for the Brahms Grandhotel, Hotel Pfaueninsel and the Otto Dix House is Changde Jingshanshui Investment Co. Ltd., the operator is the internationally active Wyndham Hotels and Resort Group. In terms of atmosphere, the interior design is oriented towards the theme of the respective hotel – whereby the design language is characterised by homely elegance. A modern and urban ambience connects the three houses as a common design thread. Many of the building materials come from Germany to allow an authentic building style. The completion of the new hotel buildings is scheduled for autumn 2018.
