Distinctive Floor Plan

The Doc Plus Apotheke in Berlin’s Wedding district is characterised by an unusual floor plan. For the 28-meter long and about five-metre wide pharmacy, brandherm + krumrey conceived a distinctive spatial concept – functional, modern and at the same time very inviting.

The pharmacy extends over three floors and its modern, but not reserved atmosphere underlines the seriousness of the medical service. Warm materials such as the wooden surfaces of the sales counters and the curved wall design loosen up this objectivity. Glass shelves present the medical products to the customers, which are conveyed from the storage area on the first floor to the salesroom by an order picking system. A computer-controlled storage system ensures fast access.
