Flowing Living Experience
Living experience on 80 square metres – when converting an attic storey in Cologne, brandherm + krumrey transformed five individual rooms into a new spatial concept. Bedroom, bathroom, dressing room, hallway, and storage room were structured and connected as open areas.
The rhythmic alternation of open and closed areas conveys a feeling of openness and simultaneously offers the residents areas of retreat. Partition walls made of interlocking lamellas mark the bathroom and serve as privacy screen. The connecting element of the seamlessly merging rooms is a flooring made of large-format floorboards, which visually extends the entire floor area. High-quality materials characterise the customised furnishing, which skilfully integrates the roof structure.
