The Arcaden Apotheke in Berlin was founded in 1999 and has developed steadily since then. After a remodel in 2008, brandherm + krumrey were again commissioned to makeover the store in 2019. While retaining the basic structure, an open sales space with a soothing atmosphere was created. The pharmacy’s sales area, known as the Offizin, which covers approximately 85 square meters, was modernized with a minimally invasive procedure. The spatial structure was retained, while surfaces, lighting and product presentation were given a contemporary design. Pastel green walls create a harmonious and soothing mood. Light wood surfaces emphasize the inviting character. Open shelves with plastic lettering elements offer quick orientation and set the goods in scene. A balanced lighting concept supports the clear spatial effect, which already attracts attention from the outside through the large display windows.
