The pharmacy Apotheke am Markt in Kelkheim is regarded as an extremely competent institution. Personal proximity to their customers is a priority for the owner Katharina Rack and her team. This attitude should also be expressed in the redesign of the pharmacy. The interior design by brandherm + krumrey therefore focused on creating an inviting and trusting atmosphere. The coloured arrangement of the individual functional areas not only facilitates quick orientation but also creates an emphatically welcoming ambience.
Before the redesign, the salesroom appeared rather confusing. The reorganisation in terms of space and colour brings clarity to the presentation of the product range and at the same time signals inviting openness. Shelves made of simple, filigree metal frames emphasise the open structure and discreetly showcase the products on offer. A consultation zone in the new pharmacy ensures discretion. The surfaces of the sales counters in warm wood shades and an upholstered bench in the centre of the room also contribute to the pleasant atmosphere. The colour scheme of the shelves and bench in an earthy red along with the mint-green back wall behind the sales counters are also reminiscent of natural shades. After the conversion, the pharmacy appears much larger. Attention was also paid to a barrier-free design. The result is a coherent overall image that is both modern and caring.
