As part of the conversion of the Frisian house on Sylt, the owners wanted to make optimal use of every corner. With great sensitivity, brandherm + krumrey succeeded in fulfilling this wish while preserving the charm of the historic building.
After gutting the building except for the load-bearing walls, the original room layout of the house was maintained. The existing old tiles were included in the redesign of the surfaces. In order to achieve the airiest spatial impression possible, the interior design is subtly restrained. White, light grey and natural wood shades dominate the elegant ambience, which is emphasised by selected pieces of designer furniture. Made-to-measure shelves and cabinets ensure efficient use of space.
