We are delighted with an exceptional publication in the recently published Architektur in Hamburg Yearbook 2022/23, in which our office is honoured with a dedicated portrait. In each issue, the yearbook presents the most important new buildings in the Hanseatic city and exciting architectural practices. Since usually only architects are portrayed, we consider this publication to be a special honour. On eight pages, the renowned journalist and curator Dirk Meyhöfer describes our design work, pointing out the increasing interfaces between architecture and interior design.
“Zeitlos auf der Höhe der Zeit” (Timeless with a grasp on contemporary developments) is the title of Dirk Meyhöfer’s portrait. At our office locations in Cologne and Hamburg, he presents some of our projects such as the Birkenstock Headquarters at Rheinauhafen or the Blood Donor Room on the Hamburg University campus. The creative transformation of the existing seems to him just as remarkable as our joy of forms, materials and space. His conclusion: “This joy and sensuality can be felt in all their interiors, whether residential building, factory, loft or office floor.” The Architektur in Hamburg Jahrbuch 2022/23 is published by Junius Verlag and is now available in bookshops.
